Dancer Leaping Gracefully Through Air

MIAMI (Sept. 11, 2019) – The South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center (SMDCAC) presents Dimensions Dance Theatre of Miami (DDTM), a newly founded dance company that has already become a hometown favorite. The performance will take place on Saturday, Nov. 16, at 8 p.m. on SMDCAC’s main stage.

Founded in 2016, DDTM has emerged as one of South Florida’s rising classical dance companies to watch. The company draws on more than 50 years of cumulative experience to bring a fresh and diverse repertoire to each performance.

DDTM was founded and is led by Carlos Guerra and Jennifer Kronenberg, who both served as principal dancers for Miami City Ballet. The pair has since evolved from dance partners to couple, and most recently, to co-leaders of DDTM.

This performance, titled “Ballet Sculpture and Serenity,” will include the Main Stage premiere of Yanis-Eric Pikieris’ “Genus,” an instant favorite from the company’s Salon Showcase at SMDCAC last spring, Ben Needham-Wood’s “Apollo and Daphne,” and Tara Lee’s “Under the Olive Tree.”

Tickets are $25-45 and can be purchased at or by calling 786-573-5300. The Center is located at 10950 SW 211 Street, Cutler Bay. All patrons entering the theater require a ticket regardless of age. This includes children and infants.

Tickets for patrons ages 13-22 can be purchased for $5 through Culture Shock Miami, a program that provides teens and young adults with reduced pricing for performances and cultural attractions throughout Miami-Dade County. Additional discounts are available for active military, youth (12 and under), seniors and groups of 20+. Contact the SMDCAC Box Office or click here for more details.
