In order to ensure public health in response to the threat of Coronavirus (COVID-19), and on the direction from the Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez, effective immediately, Friday, March 13, 2020, South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center (SMDCAC) will be closed.
All activities at the Center are cancelled until further notice. The County will continue to assess the evolving Coronavirus (COVID-19) health crisis and will be making decisions regarding the duration of this closure based on the latest recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Florida Department of Health. The health and safety of our patrons, staff, and visiting artists is our top priority.
Patrons should hold on to their tickets for performances. We will attempt to reschedule as many events as possible, once Mayor Gimenez issues the order to resume normal operations.
Our commitment is to provide the utmost flexibility to our guests. Ticket holders for performances at SMDCAC have the following options:
· Exchange your ticket for a gift certificate
· Exchange your ticket for an alternate show
· Receive a refund
Our Box Office is closed at this time however our guest services team is continuing to work remotely to provide exchanges, credits, refunds and other options for our guests.
