Join the Miami Community Music Center (MC2) for an exciting summer of music-making! Classes include ukulele club for ALL ages (a great opportunity for multi-generational learning), string instrument technique and ensemble classes, and Sing Move Play (singing, games, and movement class for elementary children). 9am- Sing Move Play
This 45 minute class is for students going into 2nd- 5th grade. Classes will include a variety of musical activities such as singing, games, and movement. Students will learn basic musical concepts through experiential music-making in a safe and positive learning environment.
10am- Ukelele Club
This 45 minute club meeting is for anyone interested in learning to play the ukulele. Students OF ALL AGES are welcome to learn the basics of ukulele. We will learn strumming patterns and how to play different chords. Club members can suggest favorite songs for the group to play. This is a great opportunity for multi-generational families to learn together. Minimum age- 4. (4-8 year olds must be accompanied by an adult)
STRING CLASSES (incoming 3rd-8th grade)
These classes will be multi-level. Students should come with prior experience at the level of the middle of Suzuki Book 1 and above.
11am- Technique Hour
Students will boost their instrumental and musical technique through a focus on scale building, shifting, vibrato, bow technique, bow strokes, and sight-reading skills.
12pm- Experiential Ensemble Hour
Students will work in small and larger ensemble groups to develop their ensemble and performance skills including part independence and ensemble blend, phrasing and dynamics, beginning and ending together, and diverse repertoire.

$20 Registration Fee
1 class for 4 weeks- $60
2nd class for 4 weeks- $40
(Family discount- after first registration, 1st class for additional family members is $40)
