Meet passionate teenage innovators from around the globe who are creating cutting-edge solutions to confront the world’s environmental threats – found right in their own backyards – while navigating the doubts and insecurities that mark adolescence. Take a journey with these inspiring teens as they prepare their projects for the largest convening of high school scientists in the world, the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF).

Join film producer Melanie Miller for a post-show Q&A!

Science Squad: Environmental solutions for our community
Join us for a discussion prior to the screening of our film Inventing Tomorrow from 7:30-8:15pm where panelists, Dr. Brian Machovina of MacEndeavors, Jane V. Carrick of Rosenstiel School at University of Miami and the film’s producer Melanie Miller will be discussing how they are using science to address environmental issues affecting South Florida such as impacts of climate change on agriculture and strategies to protect the FL coastline and coral reef populations.

Recommended for ages 13 and up. All patrons entering the theater must have a ticket regardless of age. SMDCAC 18/19 subscribers enjoy complimentary tickets to the screening. Contact the SMDCAC Box Office for details.
