Our annual season kick-off is one of the best parties in Miami, a free, family-friendly celebration of culture, community and music. Relax on the Concert Lawn, listen to great live music performances, and enjoy craft brews and delicious eats. Between sets we welcome you to explore the Center’s many performance spaces, meet our staff, check out our season schedule – and secure seats to your favorite shows!

The event features headlining act, Morris Day and The Time! Morris Day is an acclaimed musician, recognized as a pivotal member of the funk rock movement. Day is mostly known for his collaborations with music legend and icon, Prince, alongside whom he starred in the movie “Purple Rain.”

Other live performers include local musician Tony Succar, who dominated Billboard’s Tropical Album Music Chart, iTunes’ World Latin Chart, and Amazon’s Latin Pop Music chart with his latest album, “UNITY: The Latin Tribute to Michael Jackson”; Key West’s finest funk/rock band, The Good Thing, headlined by Miami-born Kim Jade Fry; and sets by DJ Trooklyn.

Backyard Bash is open to the public of all ages, offering a kid’s zone with family friendly activities.
